Bedford Gallery and Berkeley Art Center

I decided to take myself to two local galleries yesterday ... I needed to get out of my studio and seek inspiration.  My first stop was the Bedford Gallery in Walnut Creek (www.bedfordgallery.org).   It's small and easy to pop in when you have 30 minutes to spare.  Their current exhibit is "About Abstraction: Bay Area Women Painters".  It's a super diverse and interesting exhibit.  I'm particularly in love with Cornelia Schulz and Linda Geary.

My next stop was the Berkeley Art Center (berkeleyartcenter.org).  Their current exhibit is "Thread Heads" and it's nothing short of breathtaking.  I'm not even going to say anything about it.  Just go.

Needless to say, I got inspired and I've been working away in my studio.  Sigh.  We're super lucky to have such a plethora of talent in this area.
